Sew What? Inc. a respected Theatrical Drapery Manufacturer and Custom Sewing Service working specifically with the entertainment industry, special events, and trade show exhibit circuits, is currently seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to join our sales team.


JOB SUMMARY: The Account Manager will focus on building and strengthening relationships with customers and potential customers, in order to maximize revenue and profit, while continuing to strengthen the Company’s reputation in the marketplace.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: The qualified candidate must have a proven track record of sales and sales goal achievement. All candidates for this position should have strong honesty & work ethics and possess strong people and communication skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, motivational, organizational, research and analytical skills and the ability to work independently with flexibility and creativity required. Must be computer proficient, including knowledge of email and internet, word processing and spreadsheet applications.

The qualified applicant must have a minimum of three years of experience in sales and account management in one of the following areas:

  • Theatrical drapery manufacturing
  • Concert and special event staging, lighting, and production
  • Large scale special event production

LOCATION: This position will be located in Rancho Dominguez, CA (Compton area), with the majority of time spent working at the company location, communicating with clients via phone, e-mail and fax. However, the successful candidate will also be prepared to initiate in-person visits to customers and potential customers in order to develop and strengthen professional relationships. Such travel will usually be within Southern California but could include travel to other areas. The successful candidate must have a car and be licensed to drive.

HOURS: The regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. In addition, as a salaried position, the Account Manager must be prepared to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends, in order to serve the needs of customers and meet sales goals.

COMPENSATION: This is a salaried, non-commissionable position. The salary range is $40 to $65K per year plus co-paid medical after six months and co-paid retirement plan after two years. Applicants must submit a Salary History in addition to a resume.
