Velour is a rich looking cotton fabric with a thick, light absorbing pile. It is generally the most desirable fabric for stage curtains. Velour fabric is available in several weights ranging from 16oz to 32oz. As the back side of velour is susceptible to wear and abrasion, it is suggested that all velour drapes be lined with either Denim or Ranger cloth.

21oz Velour is the most popular weight velour for mid-size main settings and is ideal for all other stage masking. Medium weight and partially opaque, it is used in venues ranging from school theatres to concert halls. Many of our custom sewing clients choose this 21oz cotton velour for their custom drapery orders.

Black is always in stock and immediately available. Lead time may apply on colors. Custom colors are available with a 200 yard minimum and a 3 week lead time. Please call for more information.

Instead of offering fancy sample cards and expensive four-color brochures we ask that you request only those colors in the color palette that you are interested in and we will gladly send them to you!
