Bobinette, often also spelled as bobbinette or bobbinet, has a hexagonal weave with larger holes than traditional theater scrim. It is often used on film sets where more transparency is needed. This transparency is created when the bobbinette is lit from behind. It also produces more diffused lighting, resulting in a softer, warmer looking film scene shot. All weaves are available in black and white.
