Cover Up for a Cause

By |April 27th, 2020|Clients, Masks|0 Comments

As you are aware, our nation, our world, is facing a health crisis, and many communities now require mandatory face masks while in public.  Sew What? Inc., in our effort to help out, has switched from making curtains and backdrops for the entertainment industry to currently making personal cloth face masks.   From plain masks to designer masks to masks benefiting a variety of causes, this is truly a labor of love by the owner Megan Duckett.

Colleen and Kevin Swank from Cym Lighting Services recently shared a picture of Colleen wearing one of our masks.  Even though this year’s ride has been cancelled,  on her bike from The Unlikely Cyclist (a woman owned company that as supported Colleen over the years),  Colleen is still training to continue to bring attention to AIDS LifeCycle and to the LGBTQ Center of San Fernando Valley.

We recently added a mask from which $1.00 of the cost will go to “True Colors United” to benefit their work with LGBTQ Youth Homelessness, as well as another mask from which $1.00 from the purchase will go to “MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund” to help the many musicians who have had their livelihoods canceled due to the virus.   These, along with masks to help “Save Our Rhino” and “Help Feed the Frontlines Fighting COVID-19,” are all part of the mask line we are making to help those in need while also helping slow the spread of the virus.

Most orders can be easily placed on the mask website –

We at Sew What? Inc. hope you and your family are safe, healthy and happy while we work through these trying times together.

7 Mask Gift Set – Tattoo Inspired Designs

By |April 22nd, 2020|Masks, News, Products|3 Comments

We are excited to be making masks right now and doing our part (in some small way) to help keep people safe. And of course, our solid color masks are our core product.

But we wanted to offer people a little something more, and so we began our designer collection. Masks with fun, interesting and colorful designs to allow the wearer to show off a little personality.

Now we are taking it to another level with this gift set. This set includes seven (7) masks that were inspired by tattoo designs.  You’ll get one of each:

  • Día de los Muertos
  • Tiger
  • Webbed Destiny
  • Mariposa (Butterfly)
  • Harvest Dragon
  • Spirit Moth
  • Summer Bloom

Complete set designed by tattoo artist Tony “Solgr” Tovar, @solgr, The Dolorosa Tattoo Studio, Studio City CA.

Available in Adult or Junior sets.
