Recently Megan Duckett received an email from a fellow small business owner, Dan Carbone with Cavhooah.  In addition to being an active duty soldier with the U.S. Army, and a business owner with his wife, Dan is also completing a college degree.  In his Information Systems in Business class, Dan read the case study in the text that focuses on Megan and Sew What? Inc.  and wanted to let her know how much he enjoyed it.

I just wanted to tell you how inspirational it was to hear your story and commend you on your well-deserved accolades from the business community. We firmly believe in the “get rich slow” theory and I hope to commit more time and effort into our site once I retire.

We are so thankful that Megan’s story was inspirational to Dan, but Dan’s story is also inspirational to us here at Sew What? and Rent What?  It is heartening to know that the spirit of entrepreneurship is still alive and well, and that folks like Dan and his wife are “going for it.”
